Bob Hansen founded Hansen Monuments in 1988. With his many years of experience, it was natural for him to take this step while creating a family tradition. His daughter, Kathy Ramsey took over for him in 1999.

As a second generation monument company, our experienced staff has learned the compassionate side of this delicate business. It was Mr. Hansen's contribution to the betterment of the people that was his principle foundation. It's about helping families through their crisis by creating the perfect memorial for their loved one.

Mr. Hansen's primary concern has been and always will be to help others at every opportunity within the business and in his personal life. This became a principle that was, and still is, held up day in and day out.

Hansen Monuments is an active member of the national organization; Monument Builders of North America (MBNA) as well as our state organization.

MBNA is a distinguished group of memorialists who share ideas and grow with educational courses and seminars. Monument Builders of Iowa (MBIA) is the state association. Kathy Ramsey is currently serving as Vice President of this state organization.

Kathy Ramsey has attained the status of Certified Memorialist, the industry's highest degree of acheivement. Kathy has pledged herself to serving you and your family with care and dedication, while maintaining the highest standards of quality, craftsmanship, and business ethics.
